SOUND FAMILIAR?
Recovery takes time. Often too much time.

Tendon or joint injury
Months of walking exercise, uncertainty whether it heals well, and the fear of relapse as soon as training is built up again.

Stiff muscles and tension
Your horse doesn't move freely, locks up in the neck or back, or recovers slowly after hard training and competitions.

Hoof problems and slow wound healing
Poor hoof quality, persistent small wounds or skin conditions such as mud fever that just won't heal.

THE SCIENCE
What red light therapy does
Red and near-infrared light penetrates into muscles, tendons and joints. There it stimulates cellular energy production, improves blood circulation and reduces inflammation. This technology has been used for years in human elite sport and physiotherapy, and has now been further developed for horses: with a higher light intensity that works through the coat.
The Liroma Equin wraps are based on the same technology as our red light wraps and panels for people, with which we have been the specialist in the Netherlands and Belgium for 7 years.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Everything you want to know
Does the light work through the coat?
Yes. The coat absorbs part of the light, which is why the Liroma Equin wraps work with a higher light intensity than products for people. Clipping is not needed.
Is red light therapy safe for my horse?
Yes. The treatment is non-invasive and painless, and the wraps do not get hot. Most horses experience the sessions as pleasant and visibly relax.
Does the wrap stay in place?
Yes. Each wrap is shaped for the area it is designed for and is attached with [fastening: velcro/buckle]. Your horse can simply stand in the stable during the session.
How long is a session and how often should I treat?
A session takes [10 to 20] minutes. For best results, treat [3 to 5] times per week. Every wrap comes with a free treatment schedule per condition.
Can I combine this with treatment by the vet or physiotherapist?
Yes, red light therapy is in fact often used alongside regular treatment. For injuries, always discuss the recovery plan with your vet or physiotherapist.
When will I see results?
It differs per condition. For muscle recovery owners often notice a difference within a few sessions; for injuries and hoof problems, [X] weeks of consistent treatment is realistic.
What is the difference between De Poll, De Hoef and De Flex?
De Poll is a wrap for the neck. De Hoef is shaped for the hoof. De Flex is the multifunctional wrap you can use on multiple areas: legs, back and shoulder.
